Thank dog it's Christmas!!

I'm completely convinced that Christmas is the only time 90% of other dogs around here actually get a walk. I take mine up the track pretty much every day, unless the weather is really bad, yet it's only at Christmas we ever come across any other dog walkers, in fact sometimes it's chock-a-block with them. The only person I see regularly exercising dogs is our neighbour who's often out training his gundogs of an evening. What annoys me further is these Christmas dog walkers roar up in a posh 4wd, which they usually leave blocking farm access, let the dog out for all of 200m before turning around and loading the poor thing back up again, it hardly seems worth the petrol. I feel really sorry for the the dogs, they must be stuck inside all year around waiting for their annual countryside exercise because people are feeling guilty about eating too many mince pies. I guess at least I have the satisfaction of knowing although my dogs may be a bit noisy and grubby, at least they get plenty of mental and physical stimulation each day and don't have to wait until Christmas for it.

*ducks head guiltily* I haven't been doing so well with the exercising thing.
